This year, Lakes Eagles Booster Club will be hosting its annual 'Bid it to Win It' fundraiser. The Online Auction will take place from Friday, April 12th to Tuesday, April 16th and will feature awesome items and one-of-a-kind experiences, which you can view and bid on from the comfort of your home with your computer or your cell phone.
This is a great way for our families and community to support Lakes High School students and staff, including LCHS clubs, sports, and activities. We are seeking donations from the local community. If you have a business that would be interested in making a donation (gift card, product and/or service), please contact Tracy Behnke at tracybehnke@hotmail.com.
Lakes Eagles Booster Club (LEBC) is a parent volunteer group that raises funds in order to enhance the academic, extracurricular, and staff experiences at Lakes. Because of your generous support last academic year with LEBC fundraisers, including Bid It To Win It!, LEBC was able to fund two grant cycles and scholarships totaling more than $70,000! LEBC has provided more than $500,000 in grants to LCHS to date to support all LCHS students & staff.

Congrats to Eagle Theatre students Milo Bak, Charli Blasius, Luke Johnson, Emma Madsen and Kennedy McCarten, who recently represented Lakes at the Illinois High School Theatre Festival at Illinois State University! And good luck to Patrik Dortch and Jayvon Smith, who are headed off to Peoria to rehearse and perform in the ILMEA All-State Honors Band and All-State Choir! Due to untreated ice on side streets, we will follow a late start schedule at ACHS & LCHS today January 23, 2024, starting at 9:20 am. There will be no zero hour P.E. Busses will follow their normal late start schedule pick up times.
Due to the extreme cold forecasted by the National Weather Service for January 16, D117 will be conducting an E-Learning day to ensure our students are safe from possibly hazardous conditions. All students should stay at home and participate in E-Learning using their Chromebook starting with their first-period class tomorrow at 9:20 AM.
Due to the widespread nature of power outages January 12, we are cancelling E-Learning today and using an Emergency Day / Snow Day. This school day will be made up later in the year. Details on the make-up day will be communicated through Infinite Campus and other district communication channels.

Add some live music to your holiday festivities! Join the LCHS Jazz, Choir, Orchestra and Band programs tonight for their Winter Concert. Jazz ensembles perform at 6 PM, Choir and Orchestra at 7 PM, and Band at 8 PM. See you then! Please note: due to scheduling conflicts, we are regretfully unable to livestream this concert.

Charlie Gillette, Class of 2012, and a former member of the LCHS Band made his debut last week with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
He was one of the most decorated music students in our history and has continued his successful ways as a graduate of the Eastman School of Music🎵
