Ellerman

Lakes Community High School is proud to announce the third head football coach in school history. Jason Ellerman was approved by the D117 Board of Education on Thursday May 19, 2022. Coach Ellerman has worked at Lakes since 2008 and has served in various roles within the football program in his tenure, most recently as defensive coordinator. “I’m very excited for the challenge ahead," Ellerman said. "I’m confident in my support system of coaches and administration. Collectively we will support the student athletes and provide the best experience possible on and off the field.”

Ellerman, a Physical Education teacher at Lakes, has also coached track and field during his time here and provides commentary during the winter season as the voice of the girls’ basketball team. Coach Ellerman and his wife Lindsay, also a teacher at Lakes, have two children Aubrey (12) and Jackson (8). Athletic Director Matt Rife is also excited to have him at the helm. “Obviously, we as a school are grateful for everything Coach Eder has done the past five seasons and wish him the best of luck in the future. We are looking forward to the next chapter of Lakes Football. Coach Ellerman will provide our program with a clear and centered focus on daily improvement, participation growth, and community impact.”
