SAT
FRESHMEN  

Tuesday, April 13 - Due to SAT testing for the entire junior class, all learning for freshmen will be remote on Tuesday, April 13.  Students will be responsible for assignments posted by each classroom teacher.  Teachers will have limited to no availability due to testing duties.  Attendance will be taken via a shared Google Form similar to attendance on a Friday.

OPTIONAL OPPORTUNITY:   Freshmen will have the option to take part in a remote practice PSAT 9 assessment on April 13.  Students can take the timed practice test virtually on their Chromebook in a digital format.  More details will be provided in April.

SOPHOMORES  

Tuesday, April 13 - Due to SAT testing for the entire junior class, all learning for sophomores will be remote on Tuesday, April 13.  Students will be responsible for assignments posted by each classroom teacher.  Teachers will have limited to no availability due to testing duties.  Attendance will be taken via a shared Google Form similar to attendance on a Friday.  

OPTIONAL OPPORTUNITY:   Sophomores will have the option to take part in a practice PSAT 10 assessment on April 13.  In the fall of 2021, the Class of 2023 will take the PSAT/NMSQT which is not only a practice SAT but also the National Merit qualifying exam.  This paper pencil exam will be similar to in-person PSAT 10 we are offering.  Students can choose one of two settings.

  1. Come into the building for an in-person practice test in a paper pencil format similar to the actual PSAT 10.

  2. Take the timed practice test virtually on their Chromebook in a digital format.

JUNIORS 

Tuesday, April 13 - ALL JUNIORS will be in-person for the state SAT test starting at 8:30 am.   This is a graduation requirement for all Illinois graduates from a public high school.  Make up testing will be April 27 for those students that are absent on the 13th.  Students should bring pencils, a calculator, erasers, small snacks (put away during testing), and dress in layers.  CELL PHONES and SMARTWATCHES SHOULD BE LEFT AT HOME.  All safety procedures need to be followed including completing the health screener, the temperature scan, and wearing a mask.  Specific room assignments will be shared with students prior to the test day as well as posted in the hallways.  SAT practice tests are available here.  See the SAT Student Guide for more information and a practice test.  Specific details are available in our SAT communication.  Students can send their SAT scores for free to four colleges/universities and should come prepared with those college names from this list starting on page 8.  Most students will be dismissed from school around 12:45 pm at the conclusion of testing.  Regular bus routes will be running.

SENIORS

Tuesday, April 13 - Due to SAT testing for the entire junior class, all learning for seniors that have completed the state SAT exam will be remote on Tuesday, April 13.  Seniors that have not yet tested received a letter in the mail from Jori Bowen.  Students will be responsible for assignments posted by each classroom teacher.  Teachers will have limited to no availability due to testing duties.  Attendance will be taken via a shared Google Form similar to attendance on a Friday.
