Book Cases

SENIOR EAGLE SCOUT DESIGNS AND INSTALLS NEW BOOK CASES

As you venture down the 2nd floor Fine Arts hallway, you may notice some new backpack and book storage in place. Fellow Eagle James Mroczka, who is a senior here at Lakes, designed and built these storage cases as his Eagle Scout project. The installation of the storage cases will help students stay organized while they are in class.

This will also help prevent any trip hazards from backpacks being on the floor.  Mr. Newberry was very impressed with the quality of work and how well they match our existing furniture. Only 8% of Boy Scouts achieve the rank of Eagle, so congratulations to James for his dedication.  In order to achieve this honor, one must earn 21 merit badges including "(a) First Aid, (b) Citizenship in the Community, (c) Citizenship in the Nation, (d) Citizenship in the World, (e) Communication, (f) Cooking, (g) Personal Fitness, (h) Emergency Preparedness OR Lifesaving, (i) Environmental Science OR Sustainability, (j) Personal Management, (k) Swimming OR Hiking OR Cycling, (l) Camping, and (m) Family Life." Thank you, James, for this excellent contribution. There is more than one way to be an Eagle!
