AP Exam Registration

Advanced Placement Students and Families of Lakes Community High School,

The Advanced Placement (AP) exam is the culmination of your student’s hard work in an AP course at Lakes Community High School. Scoring well on the AP exam offers your student the opportunity to earn college credit for his or her high school class and can save families a significant amount on college tuition. Per Illinois law, all state institutions of higher learning will award credit for a score of 3 or higher.  We strongly encourage all students enrolled in an AP course at Lakes Community High School to take the exam in May. For specific information about exam dates, course credit, and placement information for individual colleges and universities, please consult www.collegeboard.org

AP exam registration takes place in the fall, and the exams are administered in May.  Registration is currently open through your student’s AP Classroom online account and will close on November 10. Registration is not complete until BOTH steps are completed.

  1. Students should log into AP Classroom (http://myap.collegeboard.org) and register for each course exam individually. Please see the chart below for registration deadlines.
  2. Payment for the exam(s) may be made either through an Infinite Campus portal account or by bringing a check made out to Lake Community High School to Ms. Messner in the Student Services office.  Infinite Campus will be updated with new fees weekly and payment can be made once the fees appear in Infinite Campus. Please see the chart below for fees.
