She has made him feel comfortable in class, translating for him, and works with him in small group lessons. The success of that student she has helped all semester is a credit to Gabi. Thank you for your help."

They scheduled a meeting with me to talk about the printers and their desire to repair them. In the meeting, Ryese and Jacob were professional sharing their plan to learn about 3D printers while striving to repair them. The boys were very responsive to my emails as we arranged a time to meet, and they were very patient as I worked with the Tech Department to secure a printer for them to explore. I admire their curiosity and their professionalism. I'm excited to what their progress with the 3D printers!"

Fine Arts

Student: Liam Berry-Walters
Nominating Staff Member: Katie Bush
"Liam is not a music student. He is however a stagecraft student who has taken on the responsibility of stage hand for all recent music events. A concert hall cannot run without its stagehands. Liam has been the most reliable stage hand for the last two major music performances. At Jazz Night, Liam set up, worked the event, and struck the equipment in the commons. He was the very last to leave other than the teachers. For the D117 festival, Liam made himself available to work despite not even being asked. Had he not been there to begin the tear down of the gym and organize the team of students who helped after their performance, I would have had to do everything by myself. From the musical, to concerts, to daily help around the fine arts spaces, I can count on Liam to be ready to help and make our performances run smoothly."

World Language

Student: Addison Hanford
Nominating Staff Member: Melissa Cratty
"Addison graciously volunteered to put together a table for the Cultural Fair this year for our German Club! She is making a Trifold with information about Germany, Switzerland, and Austria to display and will be at the table to answer questions and spread her love for the German language. Addison is such a great role model for her peers. Her enthusiasm is contagious and she always has a smile on her face. Danke, Addison!!!"

Student: Ellie Lill
Nominating Staff Member: Melissa Cratty
"Ellie is my German Club President this year. She really dove into her role as President, especially 1st semester while I was on maternity leave. Her leadership skills got the ball rolling in the fall and she made sure to purchase snacks (which she did not have to do) and create activities for the members. Ellie even helped spearhead a German Club vs Spanish Club Cook-Off this February (which we won, no big deal) and stressed herself OUT preparing for it. She really wanted it to go so well and she did such a great job organizing everything. I just wanted to thank her and show her how much I appreciate her! Danke, Ellie!"
