Lakes Athletics Sport Specific Contact Days - October 5th-October 29th

On July 29, 2020 the IHSA executive board voted to allow high schools to extend their contact period starting on September 8, 2020 through October 31, 2020. The contact period is limited to 20 contact days. A contact day is defined as a student receiving sport specific instruction. Weight room opportunities or general conditioning does NOT count as a contact day in the IHSA terms and conditions, unless it is a sport specific workout. Example: General conditioning is for everyone not just specific athletes from a specific team.  Furthermore, the IHSA phase 4 guidelines are in full effect and will be followed by all programs choosing to engage in contact days during this special period in the fall of 2020.

The Lakes Community High School Athletic Department is excited to offer additional sport specific contact days. These contact days are allowed under the IHSA’s, IDPH approved, phase 4 guidelines. Please read the information below to gain a better understanding of what programs are offering additional contact opportunities.
