The cheer team dives into action at last year's back to school pep rally.

ACHS will begin contact dates for sports not competing this fall on Tuesday, September 8.  Outdoor sports will go from September 8th until October 3rd.  Indoor sports will go from October 5th until October 31st.  Beginning on Wednesday, September 2nd, there will be registration for the September activities that will be hosted by programs.  October activities will have sign-up towards the end of September.  In addition, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, there will be a strength and conditioning program for interested individuals from 3:30 until 4:50 pm in the stadium.  This will be a separate sign up from the sports programs.  No student may participate in any activities unless they register ahead of time.  There will be no school  transportation to these programs from the students' homes.

Students coming to participate will need to do a wellness self check before coming to school.  No one should attend if their temperature is 100.4 degrees or higher and show any symptoms of COVID (cough, fever, chills, muscle pain, difficulty breathing, sore throat or loss of taste or smell).  Students either need to be dropped off at the gate next to the railroad tracks where the path heads down to the stadium or park in the lot behind the school.  There is no parking in the stadium lot off of McMillen Road.  Students need to have a mask on at all times from when they exit their cars up until the time they return to their cars to leave, unless a coach tells them they can take their masks off.  Students will need to leave the campus immediately at the conclusion of their activity.

Specific schedules of activities will be posted on the athletic department web site by the end of the week.  Specific information regarding signing up for activities will be sent out as soon as the registration sites are running.

No student that is on a fall sports roster may participate in fall contact dates or the conditioning program.

ACHS would like to thank Raymonds Chevrolet and Kia for their generous donation through the Big Play Program.  Part of the money raised from the efforts of our athletes last year was used to buy the functional swing bags that will be used this year in our strength and development programs.
