Community High School District 117 is committed to continuing to provide support to students during the COVID-19 closure. To that end, CHSD 117 will be providing ‘Grab-n-Go’ lunches at the Main Entrance of Lakes Community High School AND Antioch Community High School, beginning Monday, March 16, 2020. Lunches will be available to any CHSD 117 students from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., daily, even during Spring Break (March 23-27).
If any family is in need of lunches, but unable to pick them up, please contact your school’s Assistant Principal for Student Services. We will work diligently in trying to ensure this resource is available to anyone in need, including the possibility of scheduling a home delivery.
In addition to the daily lunches being made available by CHSD 117, Open Arms Mission has worked incredibly hard to position itself to be a resource and continue to meet the needs of families during this difficult time and COVID-19 closure.
Open Arms Mission has client hours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. As they do during the summer for families with school-aged children, Open Arms Mission will be including extra food distribution during the COVID-19 school closure.
